Terms of payment
All prices on our website are in our local currency, Icelandic Krónur (ISK). You can either pay and book online or pay at the location few minutes before the tour starts at our reception. But please note that if you want to pay at the reception before the tour starts you can book and secure a spot in the tour by sending an email to info@cavesofhella.is. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Cancellation
All cancellations must be made in writing by sending an email to info@cavesofhella.is. For our daily tours a 100% cancelation fee is charged if bookings are cancelled with less than 24-hour notice and for no shows. For special guided tours / private tours we charge 100% cancellation fee if bookings are cancelled with less then 24-hour notice. For Luxury tours or other tours where food or beverages are included we charge 100% cancellation fee if bookings are cancelled with less then 72-hour notice. In all private or special events, the cancelation terms may vary and can be negotiated depending on circumstances.
Cancellations due to weather conditions: if your tour is cancelled by Caves of Hella due to weather conditions or any other environmental circumstances you will always receive a full refund. In the case of a volcanic eruption taking place on Icelandic soil stopping you from getting to Iceland, you will also receive a full refund.
Other
It is important that guests arrive at the reception at least15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start.
The Caves of Hella cannot be liable to any loss, damage, accidents, injuries, death or sickness during your tour. No responsibility is accepted for expenses due to delays, changes of flights, or other services or because of weather, strikes, negligence, war, natural occurrences, changes in schedules, or other similar causes.
We advise all travellers to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance to minimize possible losses due to unforeseeable situations during your travel. Caves of Hella does not offer any travel insurance, so please contact your preferred private travel insurance company.
The Caves of Hella reserves the right to alter tours and itineraries due to weather or road conditions. All programs can be changed or cancelled at any moment during the trip to assure the safety of the clients and staff of the Caves of Hella.

Personal information

Caves of Hella may collect and memorize personal information about you only if voluntarily supplied to our company. We might keep trace of communication (e.g. chat, messages, etc.) and all other activities such as but not limited to: filling contact forms, current and historical bookings activities, activity search and requesting, etc., for improving our services, training purposes and/or to prevent crime. Payments are handled by an external professional agency. We do not collect any information in this regard.

Jurisdiction
These terms are subject to Icelandic law. If any part of these terms is declared invalid, illegal or unattainable, it in no way undermines the validity, legality or attainability of other provisions in the terms. Should any dispute arise in connection with these terms, the case shall be heard by the Reykjavík District Court.
